Quality Matching
To make Swapping accessible to all, we accept all clothing from all brands. We aim to match the quality of the clothes you've sent us with the clothes we'll send you.
We do this by marking each item you send us using the criteria bands shown below. We then take an average of these items and mark your bundle with one letter grade overall. We will then select items that also average out to be the same grade.
Each band marking is ultimately a judgement-call by our team, and we reserve the right to make the final say on this.
Our Quality Bands
- Items may be moved up a band if they are 100% natural materials. Items may be moved down a band if they are pilling or thinning materials. Items that were already band F that are pilling or thinning will be made Void and will pull down your average quality band.
- Items will be moved up a band if they are BNWT. We do not move up ultra fast fashion Band F items, even if they are BNWT as this is very common for fast fashion brands. In order for an item to be considered BNWT, it must have tags still attached.

- Underwear, swimwear without hygiene labels,
- Damaged items (ie: items with stains, pilling, pulled threads, broken zips)
